Farewell Open House

What a great day Sunday September 8th, 2013. HD spoke in sacrament meeting. He was amazing and so many people told me how mature and wonderful he was. He spoke on reverence. It was seriously awesome!!!
Then we went about 30 minutes away so he could get set apart as a missionary. Our stake president set apart FOUR missionaries from our stake that day! :)
That evening we had his farewell open house at our building. I was so worried no one would come because it was so close to dinner time and there was school for the littles on Monday. I needn't have worried. So many people!!!! HD is so blessed to have so many who care about him!!!

He was pretty happy I was taking this picture as you can tell...

Brothers forever. :) Chris is also headed to Brazil to serve his mission. Look out South America!

Alma 29:6-9

6 Now, seeing that I know these things, why should I desire more than to ^aperform the work to which I have been called?

7 Why should I desire that I were an angel, that I could speak unto all the ends of the earth?

8 For behold, the Lord doth ^agrant unto ^ball nations, of their own nation and ^ctongue, to teach his word, yea, in wisdom, all that he^dseeth fit that they should have; therefore we see that the Lord doth counsel in wisdom, according to that which is just and true.

9 I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do ^anot ^bglory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.
